It was an emotional weekend for Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis, who held a funeral for his son. But even the most heartbreaking moment of his life couldn’t stop Lewis from delivering one of his signature, fiery speeches.
Video of the funeral has been made available on YouTube and in the beginning we can see Lewis – wearing all white – celebrating his son’s life before declaring, “We will see you again.”
This is hardly the first time Lewis has had to give a speech at a high-profile funeral, unfortunately. He also gave keynote speeches at the funerals of former Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell and of quarterback Steve McNair.
The video has been shared on YouTube as well as TMZ and is starting to go viral.
Ray Lewis III was 28 and passed away from what was reportedly an accidental overdose.
Lewis played college football at the University of Miami and later Coastal Carolina before a brief stint in professional football with the Wyoming Mustangs.
Our hearts go out to the Lewis family, their family and loved ones.
