NFL veteran cornerback Rock Ya-Sin signed a new contract with the Baltimore Ravens. Ya-Sin, a former second-round pick, spent the 2022 season with the Las Vegas Raiders but has also played for the Indianapolis Colts.
Former Raiders’ CB Rock Ya-Sin, the team’s top cornerback last season, underwent a physical today in Baltimore and is expected to reach agreement on a one-year deal with the Ravens, per league sources.

Rock Ya-Sin, Baltimore Ravens, Agree to Contract
After spending the first three years of his career with the Indianapolis Colts, the organization decided to trade Rock Ya-Sin to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue. While the Raiders defense as a whole wasn’t very good, Ya-Sin had a solid season during his first year in the desert. Appearing in 11 games while making nine starts, Rock Ya-Sin finished the final year of his contract with seven passes defended, 45 tackles, and one quarterback hit.
Rock Ya-Sin originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Selected by the Indianapolis Colts, the Temple product made an immediate impact on the defense. Appearing in 15 games while making 13 starts, the rookie finished his inaugural campaign with one interception, five passes defended, one fumble recovery, 62 tackles, and two tackles-for-loss. Despite his impressive play, the Colts were unable to make the playoffs after Andrew Luck’s surprise retirement leading up to the start of the season.
Ya-Sin maintained his role on the Colts defense, but he never took that big leap after his promising rookie season. In 2020, the cornerback appeared in 13 games while making eight starts. While on the field, Ya-Sin recorded one interception, seven passes defended, one forced fumble, and 45 tackles. The next year, Ya-Sin once again appeared in 13 games (eight starts) and recorded eight passes defended, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and 31 tackles.
Since signing his rookie contract, Rock Ya-Sin has appeared in 52 games while making 38 starts. While on the field, the cornerback has compiled two interceptions, 27 passes defended, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 183 tackles, and two tackles-for-loss.
