Who Should the Ravens Root For?
This one feels like a pick-your-poison situation.
Chargers: The Bengals have been a menace to the Ravens. Yes, the Ravens swept the Bengals but did so by the skin of their teeth in both games. It would not be pleasant to face the Bengals a third time if they both make the playoffs. Them being booted down to 4-7 would be of great benefit to Baltimore.
Bengals: Strange as it sounds, the Ravens’ path to the playoffs is becoming more in line with them winning a Wild card spot after losing to the Steelers in Week 11. If that’s the case, the fewer teams at their record or nipping at their heels, the better. The Bengals win would put them at 5-6 and the Chargers a game back from the Ravens as they face one another on Monday Night next week.
My suggestion: Root for the Chargers. If they win, both Harbaugh squads are 7-4 and fight it out in California next week. It would be all the more satisfying to see the Bengals lose tonight and extinguish their hope of the 2024 season.
