Baltimore Beatdown Staff Reactions to the Ravens’ victory over the Denver Broncos.

The Baltimore Ravens dominated at home against the Denver Broncos and their heralded defense to the tune of a 41-10 beatdown.

Below are the reactions from the Beatdown staff.

Surgical. Profound. The Ravens fired on all three phases and resulted in their greatest win this season as they proved their might when everything is clicking. Yes, there are things to clean up but to get a win like this four days before their Bengals rematch was exactly the momentum you’d like.

Jackson dominated, Henry dominated and everything went their way. What a performance. — Kyle Phoenix

Lamar Jackson is the best football player on the planet and the Ravens defense had a much-needed get-right game against a Broncos offense that just found their groove this season. The offensive line did an excellent job handling Denver’s blitz packages and Jackson did the rest, with incredible elusiveness behind the line of scrimmage and pinpoint accuracy downfield. Marcus Williams did well upon his return to the lineup, and the Ravens’ pass rush struggled with quick wins but consistently forced Bo Nix to scramble in the second half. When Baltimore can work a TD for Patrick Ricard and Josh Johnson enters the game, it’s been a good day. . — Nikhil Mehta

That was one hell of a bounce-back performance for the Ravens a week after suffering one of the bigger upset losses of the season to a division rival. The offense absolutely shredded one of the most vaunted defenses in the league through the air and eventually on the ground in the second half with Derrick Henry going for 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Lamar Jackson finished with three touchdowns, 280 passing yards and a perfect passer rating. Both players made history in the process with Jackson becoming the fastest player to reach 20 passing touchdowns and 500 rushing yards in just nine games, breaking his own record. At the same time, Henry passed Hall of Famer Barry Sanders on the all-time rushing touchdowns list. While the defense gave up some big plays through the air, they bent but did not break when it mattered most, in the red zone. It took a fourth and goal trick play when rookie quarterback Bo Nix made a great catch for Denver to reach the end zone for the first time and even their unit mostly made up of backups and rookies was able to secure their fourth turnover on downs and second-half shutout with a goal-line stand. This was the most complete team win by this team since they blew out the Buffalo Bills on primetime in Week 4 and hopefully, it’s a sign of more great complementary football to come.. — Joshua Reed

This one was pretty simple. The offensive juggernaut that is the Ravens and Lamar Jackson returned after a stressful showing last week. Jackson finished with a perfect passer rating, over 250 passing yards, and three touchdowns. Derrick Henry had another 100 yard game and two scores. Zay Flowers had another 100 yard game and two scores. Project Pat even finished with a touchdown. Ho-Hum.

The defense was iffy today but finally put something on tape that felt it could be built off of. Multiple big plays were made including an opening-drive interception. The pressure wasn’t consistent enough but the crew finished with multiple sacks. The defense really shined in forcing multiple turnover on downs and limiting the score even when Denver was racking up yards. 2023 draft picks Trenton Simpson and Tavious Robinson really stood out today and should get looked at for bigger roles going forward. If Travis Jones can get healthy to remove some double teams off Nmandi Madubuike and the Ravens acquire a pass rusher, this defense should be average enough to support the best offense in the league. — Zach Canter

Just as you can chalk the Ravens up for a few losses like the one we saw last week at Cleveland, you can also bank on them smoking good teams throughout the season. Once again, it looked too easy for the Ravens offense. Lamar Jackson had a perfect passer rating for the fourth time in his career, Derrick Henry had over 100 yards and two scores, and Zay Flowers put on a clinic with 100+ yards and two touchdowns of his own. The Ravens offense proved they could overwhelm bad to average defenses. Today, they did it to one of the best units in the league. Last week’s loss feels like nothing more than a blip on the radar for a Ravens team that’s won 6 of their last 7 games and has one of the best offenses in NFL history through nine games. — Stephen Bopst
