The Ravens have clinched the playoffs after a hard-fought win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, 23-7.

The Ravens have had trouble on the road against Jacksonville, but on Sunday Night they took care of business. The run game was sturdy, the defense clamped down after the first quarter and in all, they proved they’re the class of the AFC, being the first team in the conference to clinch the playoffs. They’ve also further strengthened their hold on the No. 1 seed.

It’s going to be a significant loss, not having RB Keaton Mitchell for the season. That was a brutal blow. He’s been a dynamo for the offense. He finishes his rookie campaign with 8.4 yards per carry. Yes, he was that good.

The tackle situation shouldn’t be an issue, but it sure appears to be as both Ronnie Stanley and Morgan Moses are struggling right now. They’ll need to get it together as they play Nick Bosa, Chase Young and Co. on a Christmas edition of Monday Night Football — Kyle Phoenix

The Ravens vanquished yet another division leader by playing a complete game that featured a dominant defensive effort outside of one busted coverage and a punishing rushing attack that racked up over 200 yards in the second half alone. In doing so they became the first AFC team to clinch a playoff spot and avenged arguably one of the most frustrating regular season losses from last year. The injuries to key starters such as rookie running back Keaton Mitchell, veteran safety Marcus Williams, and veteran offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley could loom large with a potential Super Bowl preview coming up next Monday on Christmas night. For now the Ravens can celebrate another impressive road win that they put away in the second half yet again. — Josh Reed

It wasn’t pretty in the first half but a strong second half kept this a relatively stress-free and fun affair as the Ravens clinched a post season birth. Outside of a bad interception Lamar played well and added to a potential MVP campaign. The defense was solid as well.

The mood crusher is Keaton Mitchell. The UDFA was having an excellent season and arguably snatched the RB1 role. Harbaugh has said Mitchell is done for the season. His speed and ability to run inside and then bounce outside will not be able to be replicated. It will be a massive hit to the offense.. — Zach Canter
