Steelers get some insurance after the injury to QB Kenny Pickett
A few weeks after the Cleveland Browns added former Baltimore Ravens quarterback and Super Bowl XLVII MVP Joe Flacco, the Pittsburgh Steelers have added former Ravens quarterback Trace McSorley.
With Kenny Pickett undergoing ankle surgery this morning, the Steelers are signing free-agent QB Trace McSorley to their practice squad, per source.

McSorley, 28, was originally drafted by the Ravens in 2019 with the No. 197 pick. In his two years with the Ravens, he played in three games, finishing 3-for-10 passing for 90 yards and a touchdown.

In 2021, McSorley was signed off the Ravens practice squad by the Arizona Cardinals. He played in six games for the Cardinals in 2022, starting one game. He finished with 45-for-83 fior 412 yards, zero touchdowns and five interceptions.
McSorley will likely backup Mitchell Trubisky, the Steelers’ backup quarterback for the few weeks that starting quarterback Kenny Pickett will miss due to an ankle injury that he will be going undergoing surgery for on Monday, December 4.
Now, all that’s left is for the Cincinnati Bengals to sign a former Ravens quarterback to have an entire division filled with former and current Ravens signal callers. C’mon Cincinnati. Sign either Robert Griffin III or Anthony Brown.
