The Jets are early contenders for the an AFC wildcard spot or better. The Patriots are in a rebuild and looking to get some well-earned wins but aren’t exactly contenders in 2024 under first-year Head Coach Jerod Mayo. For that reason, Ravens fans should root for… the… Patriots?
Strange to read or say aloud, but it makes sense. The Jets pose a greater threat to the Ravens if they are to drag themselves back into the playoff picture after falling 0-2 on the season.
Rooting for the Patriots also comes with the benefit of rooting for an underdog, as the Patriots are nearly touchdown dogs.
Comparing this game to last week’s Thursday Night Football, it’s not expected to be a high-scoring affair. It’s nearly a 10-point drop. While I’d like it to be a hard-nosed fight, it’s more due to the Patriots not trotting out a top-tier quarterback.
