The Tennessee Titans might be on a quest to find a new quarterback since bust second rounder, Will Levis is heading to the bench. According to reports, the Titans are shockingly putting Levis on the bench in favor of journeyman quarterback Mason Rudolph this upcoming week. This sparks a shift in the team’s offensive plans after getting a legitimate supporting cast around Levis so it’s surprising they’re giving up on him after two seasons. What wouldn’t be a shocker is if the team looks towards the upcoming free agency next year to find their next potential caliber starting signal-caller.
Originally selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Titans brought in the Kentucky product in hopes of being their next star to take over the offense following letting veteran Ryan Tannehill hit the free agent market this past offseason. Levis won the job over Malik Willis putting on impressive numbers last season, recording 1,808 passing yards, 8 touchdowns and just four interceptions. There’s no word on what the Titans will do with Levis at this stage of his career but they may wind up trading him in the offseason if Rudolph produces.
While there’s little hope of that happening, the Titans might still consider shipping Levis either way if they find an available quarterback in the market. Several of them, like Sam Darnold, may become available so anything could happen these next couple of months.

Baltimore Ravens
MVP Lamar Jackson is one of the league’s greatest quarterbacks, so no one is taking his job unless he can’t stay healthy. He had moments throughout his career where he couldn’t play due to being hurt but they should sign Levis as backup in case he can’t. It might be a good opportunity for Levis to sit on the bench for a couple of years behind one of the best offensive players to learn and sign with a team that needs a starter when he’s ready. It works for both sides since Josh Johnson isn’t a reliable backup quarterback who can win ball games if Jackson’s hurt.
Carolina Panthers
There’s no word on what Dave Canales will do after the season is over after sustaining back-to-back disastrous years. They were hoping a new supporting cast would help Bryce Young but following his bench for the first time this season could signal the team could have other plans. Carolina might give Levis to see if he needs a new scenery despite needing a few playmakers since trading Diontae Johnson to make that happen.
New Orleans Saints
New Orleans was on one of the more surprising starts that caught everyone’s eye but they couldn’t keep that momentum going after suffering from inconsistencies and injuries. Derek Carr is likely out for the rest of the season so the Saints may start thinking of life after him. They could turn to rookie Spencer Rattler but he might not be ready for full-time duties. A quarterback like Will Levis should buy the team some team and see what he could do behind this new rejuvenated offense since signing Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
Los Angeles Chargers
Star Quarterback Justin Herbert continues to face critics despite head coach Jim Harbaugh making it clear that Herbert is one of the best. No one is taking his job either but they could never go wrong by using some extra depth behind Taylor Heinicke. This could start a backup quarterback competition and a chance to keep Levis on the team and trade him to get some draft stock in return when it’s time.
Dallas Cowboys
Despite extending Dak Prescott to a long-term contract, he hasn’t been able to stay healthy consistently these past few years. There are rumors circulating they could draft Shedeur Sanders but the reality is that they’re sticking with Prescott and getting the team some younger talent to start new. While Levis might not be atop their Radar, he’s a significant upgrade over Cooper Rush who hasn’t been putting up excellent numbers as he will become a free agent in 2025.
