The NFL Free Agency this offseason next month is set to be huge for several free agents, but top Ravens tight end, Isaiah Likely, just dropped a hint via social media on where he wants to go. Likely “liked” a comment on his Instagram post telling him to “come back home” with a four-leaf clover emoji. Originally selected as a fourth-round pick, the former Coastal Carolina product spent the first few years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens, emerging as one of the better tight ends in today’s league. Given that Likely grew up in Massachusetts, Likely is now teasing that there’s a chance that he join the Super Bowl runner-ups this year, the New England Patriots.

Top Ravens Free Agent Isaiah Likely Drops Major Hint On Social Media
It’s easy to see why he would join the Patriots for the 2026 campaign. New England has already taken a huge step in their new Super Bowl window. Even though they lost to the Seahawks, the future is still bright for quarterback Drake Maye and the offense, who still have work to do. While they already have two solid tight ends, Austin Hooper and Hunter Henry, adding Likely as their full-time starter could elevate this offense.
This would be a nightmare if you’re a Ravens fan, as they can’t afford to have their stellar weapon join an AFC rival. However, after extending veteran Mark Andrews to a new three-year, $39 million contract, that probably spelled the end of Likely’s run in Baltimore. Despite breaking his foot during the offseason, Likely raised the ceiling somewhat this past 2025 regular season, hauling in 307 receiving yards for one touchdown. Other teams are still expected to view him as potential, so of course, the Patriots won’t be the only ones eyeing him.
Could the Patriots Acquire Likely in Free Agency?
There’s a chance that New England may take one look at Likely. However, one NFL insider published an article and put Likely at the top of the list of “Buyer’s Beware.” This means that Likely probably isn’t ready for a full-time role just yet. After spending the first three seasons in Andrews’s shadow, the tight end could return to the Ravens for one more season to prove that he isn’t just a fluke.
Despite that, the Patriots have enough cap space to facilitate signing Likely to a decent three-year contract at least. The Patriots are reportedly going to be aggressive this offseason in acquiring talent, and they have plenty of cap space to do so, which might get them back in the Super Bowl. Don’t be surprised if you see Likely in a New England uniform for the 2026 campaign.
