Only a few things in life are certain: Death, taxes and the Baltimore Ravens pursuing a top defensive back in free agency.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz of theScore, free agent cornerback Rock Ya-Sin is visiting the Ravens today. The fourth-year cornerback spent the 2022 season with the Las Vegas Raiders, making nine starts in 11 games.
Ya-Sin is a four-year veteran who enjoyed early success playing left cornerback for the Indianapolis Colts. In three seasons he started 29 of 41 games, making 20 passes defended and two interceptions to go with two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 138 tackles.
Ya-Sin was traded to the Raiders ahead of the 2022 season in exchange for Pro Bowl pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue.
The Baltimore Ravens made the playoffs in 2022 despite some offensive woes thanks in large part to a top 10 defense. But that defense specialized in defending against the run and struggled against the pass.
If Baltimore plan on improving at all from last year’s 10-7 season, they’re going to need some reinforcements in the defensive backfield.
Will Rock Ya-Sin be a part of the solution to Baltimore’s problems?
