The Ravens head to Arrowhead and will be minor underdogs.
The 2024 NFL season is upon us and the odds are out on the NFL Kickoff Game!
Entering Week 1, the Ravens are underdogs against the reigning Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs, but not by much. FanDuel Sportsbook places the Ravens as a three-point dog. Considering oddsmakers favor home teams anywhere from 1.5 to 3 points, they’re making this a toss-up.

This is about as challenging of a line as one could make, so good for the oddsmakers. Since 2019, both teams have gone 4-1 in Week 1. Both teams are about as healthy as can be and feature it’s hard to find two teams with more stars, be it on the field or coaching staffs.
If I were a gambling man, I’d be taking the Ravens +3. These games are often close, though the Chiefs have gotten the better of them in the regular season. The Ravens match up well with the Chiefs defensively and can hang with their offense. But Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry have to outpace them against a strong Chiefs defense headed by defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. You can make sound arguments for either side, but I think the Ravens can hang with the Chiefs, and getting a three-point buffer has me leaning their way.
