Zay Flowers ended his rookie season with a costly miscue in the AFC Championship Game.

Down 17-7 early in the fourth quarter, the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver fumbled while trying to lunge into the end zone. The Kansas City Chiefs recovered en route to securing a 17-10 victory at M&T Bank Stadium.

Flowers looked ahead while addressing the turnover on Monday.

“I feel like I’ve got another step. I feel like I could be one of the best receivers in this league,” Flowers said. “I’m not going to let one moment define me. I’ll just use that as a slingshot.”

While the fumble derailed any comeback efforts, the Ravens wouldn’t have stood a chance without Flowers.

The first-round pick tallied a team-high 115 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. He made his third catch of the drive before fumbling, but the 23-year-old got called for taunting following a 54-yard reception.

After years of searching for a No. 1 wide receiver, the Ravens finally found a difference-maker. Flowers led the team in receptions (77) and receiving yards (858) while scoring five touchdowns during the regular season.

He had never fumbled in his NFL career before Sunday.

On Sunday, Flowers told reporters he’d “learn from my mistakes.” The next day, Flowers said he had “a great time” this season.

When asked when he’ll turn the page to next season, Flowers declared that he “already did.”
