The Washington Commanders found their quarterback of the future on Day 1 of the 2024 NFL, selecting LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels at No. 2 overall. Washington general manager Adam Peters acknowledged there were conversations regarding moving back into the first round, presumably for an offensive tackle, but nothing materialized.
The Commanders’ top remaining need is offensive tackle. While this was a deep class, most of the top options are gone, but several players are left who could immediately help in 2024. Currently, veteran Cornelius Lucas is slated to start for the Commanders at left tackle.
Washington could also use help at cornerback, wide receiver, tight end, and edge rusher. The good news is that there are options at each position, and the Commanders have five picks on Day 3.
Here are the top 25 players available for Day 2 on Friday.
