The 2022 NFL combine is officially in the books. Day 4 of the combine featured the highly-anticipated workouts for the defensive backs.
As expected, the DBs did not disappoint. Multiple cornerbacks and safeties ran record times in the 40-yard dash, and some of the top prospects solidified themselves as first-round picks.
Meanwhile, other prospects were so impressive it will lead NFL evaluators to turn back to the tape to see if those terrific testing numbers relate to the player’s performance on the field.
In some disappointing news, LSU cornerback Derek Stingley did not participate as he is still recovering from a foot injury. Stingley was once considered the No. 1 cornerback for this class, but that honor now belongs to Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner of Cincinnati.
Speaking of Gardner, here are six defensive backs who came out winners on the final day of the 2022 NFL combine.
