Saturday afternoon’s National Women’s Soccer League game between the San Diego Wave FC and Angel City aired nationally on CBS.
It’s rare to get a nationally-televised NSWL game on CBS, but hopefully we’ll get more of them in the future, because Saturday’s couldn’t have gone much better.
Alex Morgan shined in her debut for San Diego, scoring two goals in the 4-2 win over Angel City on Saturday afternoon.

Morgan wasn’t the only player making a notable debut on Saturday, as USWNT star Christen Press was making her Angel City debut.

All in all, it was a pretty great afternoon for the NWSL.
“The NWSL could not have scripted this Angel City/San Diego game on big CBS with goals from Alex Morgan and Christen Press any better if they tried,” one fan tweeted.

Alex Morgan could literally score 10 goals a game and people will still say she’s overrated. Also… it’s not an unpopular opinion. All of y’all are haters pretending to know the game 😂
