The Washington Commanders are a good team.

Finished my watch through of the Commanders offense from yesterday, some notes:

-Took Kingsbury & the offense some time to get into rhythm. Went 11 personnel heavy for 1st 3 drives, didn’t get much going. On the 4th drive, midway through Q2, he figured it out, varied personnel

-12 and 21 personnel are the life of the offense. 12 personnel play-action stuff was strong yesterday, Kliff did a nice job getting to lots of play-action in 2nd half despite run game never thriving. His creativity is great with 21 – like the flea flicker screen to Ekeler

Daniels was excellent on those play-action passes by the way. Threw with timing, anticipation, drove the ball when needed, had touch when needed. Hit throws over the middle (which some doubted he could), hit a nice sail to Ertz to his left off PA too

-Run game left some out there. RBs made some early cuts when they could have got more staying patient. BAL were looking to stop the run though & were quick to any read-option. Clear that WAS wasn’t desperate to establish the run either, knew play-action/pass bigger threat vs BAL
