Darrell Green’s number 28 jersey is retired forever here in Washington.
How much does it mean to him?
Watch this. Watch the emotion. Amazing.

The Commanders lead the NFL in scoring with 218 points.
No team has outscored opponents by more points than Washington (66).
What a time to be alive.

The Washington Commanders are currently the #2 seed in the NFC.

And no…..
No one is celebrating in the locker room. It’s business as usual. They beat a bad team…everybody going home now.

Agree. Still more to learn but the fact that he’s on the sideline is a good sign. https://t.co/X2GmtCrf8K

Source tells me no long-term injury for Commanders QB Jayden Daniels. With Commanders up 37-0, no need for him to return today. Team reevaluates Monday. https://t.co/Ybx1l0Pp0I
— Cameron Wolfe (@CameronWolfe) October 20, 2024
Something to keep in mind, even if Jayden Daniels doesn’t have a broken rib and is “fine” according to multiple sources.
Fine, doesn’t guarantee that you can play or throw. I’m guessing he’ll be very limited in practice this week.
If he can throw without pain, he can play.
— Chris Russell AKA the ! (@Russellmania621) October 20, 2024
Dan Quinn said he does not have an update on Jayden Daniels’s rib injury.
Daniels will undergo further testing tomorrow and Quinn hopes to have an update then.
— Nicki Jhabvala (@NickiJhabvala) October 20, 2024
That called play got him 50 yards down the field untouched. People are too worried about the QB run game in my opinion. It adds so much to the offense and as long as the QB reads things well and protects himself when he keeps it, it’s a perfectly safe scheme https://t.co/EPrRYBhuOL

Marcus Mariota finishes with 205 passing yards, 2 TD throws & a rating of 132.8 in a 40-7 #Commanders win. Pretty good work off the bench. 5 other relief performances of note in Washington history in which the QB threw for 200 yards, 2 TDs & had a 100+ rating: pic.twitter.com/Xd8xPLfCTg

#Commanders win their 5th game of the year , they won four last year. 40-7 the final. Dominating the #Panthers. Caleb Williams and the #Bears will be here next week. Will Jayden Daniels be ready?
— George Wallace (@GWallaceWTOP) October 20, 2024
A true organizational win. The #Commanders had Jayden Daniels for one drive, lost Brandon Coleman to a concussion & yet still smashed Carolina. Adam Peters & co. – in less than 10 months – have built an offensive monster. This is what having great football operations looks like.

Take a bow Kliff Kingsbury.
2nd 40-burger of the season.
3rd time hanging 38+ on year.
4 straight passes up 37-7. Steamed.
Daniels exits and offense hums.
Mariota: 18/23, 205 Yds, 2 TD.
407 YDS, 7 per play.
McLaurin: 6 catches for 98 yards.— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) October 20, 2024
The Ben Sinnott break out game.
His first two targets have come today. Two catches for 6 yards. His first career TD.
Also the first day a Commanders TE has caught a TD (Ertz and Sinnot both have one).
