My best guess here is combination of:

A. defenses prioritizing pass that we’re seeing show up in other ways is having an affect, sack-wise and

B. that more and more QBs coming into the league are mobile and, perhaps, less sack averse.

Washington really switched things up on defense last night. They played almost entirely 2-high all night. with a lot of 2-Man. They also had Sainristil play as an outside corner all game with Igbinoghene playing in the slot.
