After weeks of speculation, the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly trading star wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Last week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Cowboys were likely to release Cooper if they couldn’t find a trade partner. Well, on Saturday afternoon, Dallas made sure it didn’t lose Cooper for nothing.
According to a report from Schefter, the Cowboys are sending Cooper and a sixth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns. Meanwhile, the Browns are sending back a fifth and sixth-round pick from the 2022 draft.
“Cowboys are finalizing a trade to send WR Amari Cooper and a sixth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for a 2022 fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick, per league sources,” Schefter said.

The star wide receiver carried a hefty price tag of $20 million into the 2022 season. It was clear Dallas wanted to make a move on Cooper before the new league year kicked in.
Cooper finished this past season with 68 catches for 865 yards and eight touchdowns.
After catching passes from Dak Prescott, he’ll now team up with Baker Mayfield.
