A playful tweet from NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace is going viral on social media on Wednesday afternoon.
Wallace, who drives for 23XI Racing, will be back at the scene of the infamous “noose” garage incident this weekend. Back in 2020, a rope in the shape of a noose was spotted hanging from Wallace’s garage stall at Talladega. An investigation into the rope took place, with the FBI revealing no hate crime took place.
Still, the incident sits with Wallace to this day.
Ahead of this weekend’s race at Talladega, Wallace tweeted out his thoughts.
“Lots of good memories in this stall growing up… lots of bad too,” he tweeted.

Unsurprisingly, NASCAR fans have mixed thoughts, with many thinking of the garage incident.
“Here because Bubba chose violence,” one fan tweeted.
“Very proud of how you handled the situation,” another fan added on Twitter.
“Oh this is gonna make some people angry lol,” another fan wrote on Twitter.
NASCAR’s Cup Series is returning to Talladega on Sunday, with the Geico 500 set to take place at 3 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
