After his third season with the Bucs, Brady will be free to sign with whomever he pleases in 2023. Earlier this week, Tampa Bay general manager Jason Licht said the organization has not had discussions with Brady about a potential contract extension deal.
“The only discussions I’ve had, we’ve had, with Tom has been, he came back and we’re excited about this year and we’re excited to get going,” Licht said on Tuesday.
Brady is well known for his willingness to take salary cuts in order to keep his team competitive, and appears he’s doing so again in 2022.
