Football is family, and the Steelers have taken that to heart over the past few years. First with the Watt brothers, and now by drafting Connor Heyward, brother of Pittsburgh’s five-time Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Heyward.
When asked about some of the on-field dynamics when it comes to practice, Cam won’t hesitate to user some of that “brotherly love.”
“What’s going to happen if Connor starts holding Cam during a hot training camp practice?” asked Steelers reporter Brooke Pryor. “Cam: ‘I’m gonna throw him on his ass.’”

The Steelers drafted Connor Heyward out of Michigan State in the sixth round as a fullback/tight end hybrid. Ironically, he could be competing with Derek Watt for playing time come training camp.
Football has clearly become the family business in the Heyward household.
Craig Heyward a Pro Bowl fullback in his day, raised himself an outstanding defensive lineman; and possibly another standout FB.
It makes the NFL transition a bit easier when you have six Pro Bowls in the house.
