Can the 2024 Washington Commanders replicate the Houston Texans’ success? I’m sure the responses to that question vary, but what is undoubtedly true when considering the answer is that the Texans are the exception rather than the norm. On the latest Trap or Dive podcast with Commanders beat reporter JP Finlay of Monumental Sports and 106.7 The Fan, we consider the factors behind why the Commanders can or cannot replicate that success.
While AJ considers both teams to have plenty of parallels from a roster perspective, JP Finlay believes Washington is missing its version of an LT in Laremy Tunsil. Furthermore, Dre and JP believe the Texans’ success is too high of an expectation bar to set. We failed to mention in the conversation, too, that the NFC East is top-heavy, whereas the AFC South is not as strong of a division.
