Deebo Samuel is one of Colin Cowherd’s favorite players in the NFL. But, on Monday’s edition of “The Herd,” the FOX Sports 1 radio host admitted that it might be worth trading him if you’re the 49ers.
The All-Pro WRB1 is as dynamic as it gets, making his contract demands pretty high. But, Cowherd isn’t sure it can last.
“I would strongly consider trading Deebo Samuel,” the FS1 host said. “He’s banged up a lot and his style isn’t built for longevity.”

Cowherd admitted that it would be hard to let go of a talent like Samuel, noting that he likes his game a lot. However, there are other factors to consider.
“He is incredibly valuable. I’m not sure you can duplicate him in the draft,” Cowherd explained. “But again, the Niners spend a lot of money on offense; on Garoppolo, Trent Williams, George Kittle and if you add Deebo Samuel, those are bodies not built to last forever, and with some injuries.”
“So as much as I like Deebo Samuel, and I really do,” Cowherd continued. “… I would test the market.”
