Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he’s “in the best shape of his life” as he tries to come back.
He hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016 but is still holding out hope that a team will give him a second chance.
The NFL world is hoping that he does get that second chance, based on this video.

During Kaepernick’s time with the 49ers, he had 12,271 passing yards, 72 touchdown passes, and 30 interceptions. He also led them to the Super Bowl in 2012 against the Baltimore Ravens, but fell, 34-31.
It remains to be seen if another team gives him a shot.
