There’s still plenty of time left, but it’s already looking like Kansas is going to be playing in the national championship.
The Jayhawks are dominating No. 2 seed Villanova right now. At the time of writing, Kansas leads the Wildcats 38-19 with just a few minutes left in the first half.
Villanova made a living on controlling the tempo this entire season. However, Kansas is the one running the Wildcats off the court.
The Jayhawks are a little over 20 minutes of game time before advancing to the title game.
“This one feels like it’s over,” Pete Thamel tweeted. “Villanova was supposed to be able to control the tempo. Instead, they’ve been torched by Kansas shooting 13-19 and 7-10 from 3-point range. Kansas has taken what they wanted. KU leads 36-18. Nova not built to come back without Justin Moore.”

“What Villanova did to Kansas in the 2018 Final Four, Kansas is currently doing to Villanova. 26-11. A SCORCHING 1.58 points per possession for KU right now,” Matt Norlander commented.
