The Washington Commanders had on pads for the first time this summer Tuesday. While wearing pads doesn’t simulate a real game, it’s an exciting time for players, coaches and fans. The popping of pads lets everyone know that football is back.
There were plenty of 1-on-1 drills Tuesday between the defensive backs and wide receivers and the offensive linemen and defensive linemen. Those are fun to watch. No surprise, wide receiver Terry McLaurin fared well.
Defensively, rookie DB Quan Martin continues to impress. Martin is fluid in every movement and does an excellent job in coverage. It will be fun watching him once the games begin.
What else happened Tuesday? We offered our takeaways earlier, but here are some of the top highlights/videos from some of those in attendance from Day 6 of training camp in Ashburn.
