The Washington Commanders are set up to change their franchise in next month’s 2024 NFL draft. The Commanders hold six of the top 100 picks, beginning at No. 2 overall. If new general manager Adam Peters hits, Washington will be on its way to finally turning things around.
The Commanders used free agency to find several new starters and build depth across the roster. Some of Washington’s moves indicate its plan in next month’s draft. The trade of Sam Howell and the signing of veteran Marcus Mariota made it clear that the Commanders would pick a quarterback second overall.
Additionally, Washington’s lack of action at offensive tackle – only re-signing swing tackle Cornelius Lucas – indicates that it will select an offensive tackle early.
In this new three-round mock draft from Pro Football Focus, the Commanders add plenty of help across the board.
