Can the Washington Commanders avoid a trap spot against the Cleveland Brown to go 4-1?
Since the NFL merger, the Washington Commanders have gotten off to nine 4-1 starts, and they are going for their tenth 4-1 start with this week’s matchup against the 1-3 Cleveland Browns. This would be Washington’s first time since 2008. The Dan Quinn era has gotten off to an exceptional start, with the Commanders offense, led by offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, being one of the best in the league at the current time. While the offense is coming off of a 42-point day in the offense against the Arizona Cardinals, the Commanders’ defense also saw one of its best productive days, holding the Cardinals’ offense to 14 points.
It has been a good week for the team, as they have been getting attention for all the right reasons around the NFL. With Washington’s momentum, they are slowly rising as an NFC threat, so long as their best unit (offense) remains at an elite level of consistency. But time will tell how consistent they are. With the Cleveland Browns coming into Northwest Stadium on Sunday, the front seven of the Browns can create chaos. This Trap or Dive episode previewed the week five matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Washington Commanders.
