The Washington Commanders dropped to 2-2 on the season after Sunday’s heartbreaking 34-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in overtime. It was an excellent bounce-back performance for the Commanders after last week’s 37-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Quarterback Sam Howell completed 29 of 41 passes for 290 yards and a touchdown. He led Washington on a game-tying drive as time expired to force overtime.
The Commanders have no time for rest, though, as they will be on Thursday Night Football against the winless Chicago Bears. The Bears looked poised to pick up their first win over the also-winless Denver Broncos, jumping out to a 21-7 lead. However, the Broncos stormed back and shocked the Bears.
According to BetMGM, the Commanders open as six-point favorites over the Bears.
