Next week’s edition of Monday Night Football will feature a pair of former LSU quarterbacks who have won the Heisman Trophy within the last five years.
Jayden Daniels (2023 Heisman Trophy winner) leads the Washington Commanders into Cincinnati to face Joe Burrow (2019 Heisman Trophy winner) and the Bengals in prime time.
Washington picked up its first win of the season Sunday, defeating the New York Giants 21-18 without scoring a touchdown. Daniels was excellent in the win, completing 23 of 29 passes for 226 yards, rushing for 44 yards and avoiding turnovers for the second straight game.
The Bengals are looking for their first win of 2024. Cincinnati was upset at home in Week 1 and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday when Harrison Butker drilled a last-second field goal.
So, it’s not surprising that Cincinnati, a preseason AFC contender, opens Week 3 as big favorites over Washington, according to BetMGM.
