Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Washington Commanders fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in regular email surveys.
Very few fans get the chance to see players first-hand during the offseason and training camp. Our impressions, for the most part, are shaped by reports from sports writers who give a series of ‘snapshots’, often describing specific plays from practice or their general impressions of what is happening in terms of roster development.
For fans, a single tweet can create an impression that lasts for years.

A practice clip can also create or reinforce a narrative (positive or negative) that can be hard to erase:
