Poll questions!!
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Washington Commanders fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in regular email surveys.
This week we have three questions in the Reacts survey.
Question 1
Our first question this week is the one we ask every week — Do you feel confident in the direction of the franchise? We will track the results of this question throughout the season. In Week 1, the level of confidence was very high at 96%. Following the opening week loss to Tampa Bay, it fell off to 74% last week.
How do you feel following the 21-18 win in the home opener against the Giants?
Question 2
Jayden Daniels has gotten off to a very good start in the first two games of his NFL career. His team is 1-1, undefeated inside the division, and in first place in the NFC East.
Through two weeks he has the following passing stats:
- 12th in passing yds (410)
- 3rd in passing CMP% (75.5%)
- 1st among rookie QBs in passing yds
- 6th in QB Efficiency (+0.22)
- Against the blitz: 9/9 140 yds 118.8 RTG 18.3 CPOE
As a rusher, he has also been impressive. In two games, he has rushed for 132 yard, with 10 first downs and two touchdowns.
There are a couple of things he hasn’t done.
One of those things is that, in his 53 passing attempts, he hasn’t thrown an interception. He is the only rookie starter to achieve that. Caleb Williams has attempted 66 passes with two interceptions, while Bo Nix has 4 interceptions in 77 attempts.
One thing that all three rookie QBs have in common is the fact that none has yet thrown a touchdown pass in the NFL regular season.
In this week’s second question, we’re asking if it’s time for Jayden Daniels to break through; we ask how many touchdown passes he will throw in the road game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.
Question 3
The final question this week focuses on the matchup in the run game between the Bengals offense and the Commanders defense.
The Bengals rushed for 70 yards vs the Patriots and 74 yards vs the Chiefs. Washington gave up 112 & 129 rushing yards in Weeks 1 & 2.
Basically, we’ve set the over/under mark for the Bengals rushing yards at 95, and we’re asking you which is the smarter bet.
Comments & Results
Of course, we invite you to answer the survey questions below, but also feel free to expand on your answers and provide nuance in the comments section. I rely on those comments when discussing the results of the survey when they are posted in a separate article the next few days.
