Practice squad moves
The Washington Commanders announced that DE Justin Hollins has been signed to the practice squad. He was with the team during the preseason for 8 days. He played against the Patriots, recording one tackle and one QB hit. Hollins was released at roster cutdowns, and wasn’t signed by another team.
Washington had an open spot on their practice squad after DL Carlos Watkins was signed by the Dallas Cowboys. They placed Jordan Phillips on IR, and brought back Watkins, who was with the Cowboys from 2021-22. Watkins was elevated from the practice squad for last week’s game against the Giants, and he played three snaps on defense.
Former 5th round pick K.J. Henry was released by the Washington at roster cutdowns, and claimed on waivers by the Cincinnati Bengals. He was released two days ago, and wasn’t claimed on waivers. Henry isn’t returning to Washington at this time, and he’s still looking for a new team.
