The Washington Commanders announced a pair of roster moves before the start of the final day of training camp practices. Backup center J.C. Hassenauer was signed on August 6th, and he’s already back on the streets as a free agent. He played 27 snaps for Washington last week.
The Commanders have signed C Cameron Tom, swapping out backup centers as the team prepares for their preseason finale against the New England Patriots. He was an undrafted free agent signed by the New Orleans Saints in 2017. Tom spent four seasons there, before starting his journey to several other teams. He’s played in 14 games, starting one, in his 7-yrar NFL career. This will likely serve as an audition for the practice squad this season.
