Injury updates
The Washington Commanders enter their Week 8 matchup against the Chicago Bears with several players dealing with injuries. Jayden Daniels didn’t practice today, but Dan Quinn said he was close to getting back on the field. When that happens he’ll be evaluated to see how much the rib injury is affecting his movement and ability to throw. Brandon Coleman suffered a concussion on Sunday, and is making progress in the protocol to get cleared. The only other player who didn’t practice was Zach Ertz who got his weekly vet rest day.
Washington got some help back with rookie LB Jordan Magee getting activated from injured reserve. He suffered a knee injury during the first preseason game, and then had meniscus surgery. Jamin Davis was released the day before to open up a roster spot.
Dorance Armstrong was injured during the Ravens game, and missed the Panthers game with a rib injury. He didn’t practice at all last week, but was doing individuals on the field today. DE Clelin Ferrell(knee) and LB Dante Fowler Jr(groin) were also limited. Ferrell has been dealing with the knee injury since training camp, and Fowler’s groin injury comes after he got the first interception and Pick-6 of his career.
Several other players were injured during Sunday’s blowout win. It was reported that C Tyler Biadasz was dealing with a hand injury, and Dyami Brown was seen limping. Biadasz is listed with a thumb injury, and Brown has an ankle injury. Cornelius Lucas was also limited with an unreported neck injury.
