Injury updates

The Washington Commanders enter their Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns with a long list of players dealing with injuries. Brian Robinson Jr missed the last two days of practice with a knee injury. There haven’t been any updates, but reporters will be asking Dan Quinn about it tomorrow.

Washington opened up the 21-day practice window for three players who were all full participants in practice. LB Jordan Magee(knee) and QB Marcus Mariota(pec) are returning from injured reserve, and DE Efe Obada is returning from the PUP list for multiple leg fractures suffered in Week 11 last season. Washington is short a player on their 53-man roster, and will have to make a few more moves if all three players are cleared to return.

The Washington Commanders only had one other player who didn’t practice today. WR Noah Brown was limited with a groin injury on Wednesday.

LG Nick Allegretti(ankle), S Tyler Owens(shin), and DE Clelin Ferrell(knee) were all limited yesterday, and full participants today. Ferrell has missed the last two games, and he has been dealing with the knee injury since the preseason. Dorance Armstrong finally stepped up last week with Ferrell out

RB Austin Ekeler missed the Cardinals game with a concussion, but Dan Quinn said “the arrows are pointing up” to clear the protocols needed to return this week. He was limited in yesterday’s practice wearing a non-contact jersey, but a full participant today. Ekeler is expected to play on Sunday, and will be needed if Brian Robinson Jr is sidelined. Jeremy McNichols was the No. 2 back last week and surprised a lot of people with his play, and two touchdown runs.
