Injury updates

The Washington Commanders held the last full practice before their Week 9 matchup against the New York Giants today. Cornelius Lucas suffered an ankle injury vs the Bears and is the only player ruled out for the game. Rookie LT Brandon Coleman has cleared the concussion protocol and will get his first game s the full-time starter, and not rotating drives with the veteran lineman.

Washington only has one player listed as questionable. RB Brian Robinson has been limited by a knee injury the last week’s, missing one game. He’s been limited all week with a hamstring injury, and will likely see another limited workload if he plays Sunday. Washington didn’t elevate a running back last week, and Austin Ekeler got most of the snaps.

Linebacker Frankie Luvu missed practice the last two days with a shin injury, but Dan Quinn said he looked good today and is expected to play. Rookie LB Jordan Magee returned from injured reserve last week, and will be available for depth if Luvu isn’t at full strength.

Jayden Daniels was limited for the first two days, but got a full practice in today. This is expected to be his schedule going forward until the injury is fully healed. Daniels playing through the pain last week, and had his most memorable NFL game to date.
