Injury updates
The Washington Commanders finished their week of practice and have flown to California a day early to get ready for their game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The had are coming off their bye week after getting blown out by the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins in back-to-back weeks.
Washington ruled out two players for Sunday’s game. James Smith-Williams has still not been on the field since injuring his hamstring vs the Seahawks five weeks ago. Washington will continue to have Casey Toohill starting at DE with rookies KJ Henry and Andre Jones behind him.
RB Brian Robinson suffered a hamstring injury vs the Dolphins, and he didn’t practice today. Rivera said he’s looking forward to seeing more from rookie Chris Rodriguez, and Antonio Gibson will return to his role as the team’s starter.
Rookie CB Emmanuel Forbes suffered an elbow injury vs the Giants in Week 11, and missed the last two games. He was a full participant all week, and is will return this weekend to face Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense.
