Injury updates
The Washington Commanders were on the practice field again today as they prepare for their Week 10 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Marshon Lattimore arrived at headquarters yesterday, but he hasn’t practiced with the team yet. He is dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of his last game with the Saints. Lattimore is unlikely to play on Sunday, and will have a short turn around as the team prepares to travel to Philly for a short week due to Thursday Night Football.
Cornelius Lucas suffered an ankle injury vs the Bears and didn’t play vs the Giants. He is still not practicing, and we could get another full game from rookie Brandon Coleman at left tackle. RT Andrew Wylie was also limited with a shoulder injury that was first listed after the Giants game. If Lucas and Wylie can’t go on Sunday, veteran Trent Scott will likely get the start at right tackle, with Chris Paul as the swing tackle.
Kicker Austin Seibert scared some fans yesterday when his name appeared on the injury report with a right hip injury. He returned to the practice field today, but was limited. That’s an improvement, but if Seibert has a setback, Washington would likely have to sign a kicker to their practice squad to have available for the Steelers game.
