After not playing a single game in the 2020 college football season, Dallas Cowboys’ first-round linebacker Micah Parsons was thrown into quite the NFL debut.
In his first game since 2019, the former Penn State star was forced to work against an all-time great: Tom Brady.
Parsons immediately recognized this greatness, saying he learned the difference between a good and a great QB when taking on Brady last night.
“You can tell he’s been in the league for 22 years, I’ll say that,” the rookie LB said after the game, per Cowboys insider David Helman.

Brady put together a stellar Week 1 performance last night, throwing 32/50 for 379 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. With less than two minutes remaining in the contest, the seven-time Super Bowl champion mounted a final drive to put the Buccaneers in position to kick a game-winning field goal — bringing the final score to 31-29.
In his first NFL contest, Parsons logged seven tackles, one pass defended and one QB hit on Brady.
Parsons and the Cowboys will face off against another solid quarterback in Justin Herbert during a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers next week.
