Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf played through a foot injury during the 2021 NFL regular season.
The star NFL wide receiver shared a photo of himself in a walking boot at the start of the 2022 offseason on Monday.
Metcalf was in Los Angeles for Super Bowl weekend. He was spotted wearing a walking boot during his time in Southern California.
On Monday, Metcalf shared a photo of the walking boot.
According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks wide receiver recently underwent surgery.

Metcalf had told Taylor Rooks that he kept the injury under wraps.

“I just started walking on it a couple days ago,” Metcalf said. “My rehab’s going to be like another month before I’m full go.”
Metcalf, who played collegiately at Ole Miss, suffered a foot injury during his playing days with the Rebels.
This was reportedly bothering Metcalf all season.
Initially suffered the foot fracture in 2016 at Ole Miss. Unclear if the fracture was Lisfranc or Jones.
Sounds like the screw was unstable & rubbing all year, causing pain.

Metcalf doesn’t believe the injury bothered him too much, though.
“I don’t think it affected me that much. I missed a practice day a week when I found out what happened to my foot, but it really didn’t affect me that much.”
The 2022 season is a big one for Metcalf, as he’s entering a contract year. Hopefully he can be fully healthy for what should be a pivotal season in Seattle.
