Dan Quinn speaks to the media before practice
Dan Quinn and the Washington Commanders coaches, players, and staff all flew to Arizona after Monday night’s upset win over the Cincinnati Bengals. One player didn’t make the trip due to injury.
Veteran RB Austin Ekeler has been a good addition to the offense, and his kick returns have been great so far. He suffered a concussion early in the 3rd quarter, along with a laceration to his ear. He stayed in Cincinnati with a team doctor, before heading back to Virginia. Ekeler is in the concussion protocol, and his availability for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals is in question on a short week. If he isn’t cleared, Jeremy McNichols would get more playing time, and Michael Wiley would likely be elevated from the practice squad.
