Dan Quinn speaks to the media on “Tell the truth Monday”
Dan Quinn is preparing for the Washington Commanders bye week, and he spoke with reporters on Victory Monday. The team needed this break, and he was proud of his young team for getting a decisive victory before the break. The team had lost three straight, and was starting to look like they might not even make the playoffs if they didn’t fix their issues. The Tennessee Titans were the perfect team to play yesterday, and it seemed like nothing could go right for them for the majority of the game.
Quinn had a lot of praise to go around on offense, specifically about Jayden Daniels’ speed and decision-making, Chris Rodriguez Jr’s tenacity and vision, and Cornelius Lucas’s versatility on the offensive line. Quinn said he has a lot of confidence in kicker Zane Gonzalez, but acknowledged kicking issues.

The Marshon Lattimore question comes up every time Quinn talks to reporters, and that will continue until the former Saints CB debuts with Commanders. Quinn was the most confident he’s been about his return from a hamstring injury he suffered while still playing for the Saints. Washington travels to New Orleans after the bye, and that continues to look like the target date for the former Pro Bowlers debut.

Cornelius Lucas:
Quinn said one of the first players he was going to bring up when talking about the OL is Cornelius Lucas. Worked hard to get back after spraining ankle; worked almost all on the left side prior. Then last week could spend time at RT with Wylie out. Lucas uses his size well.
