Dan Quinn and the Washington Commanders are in New Jersey today to have a joint practice with the New York Jets. The two teams will have their first preseason game on Saturday. The weather was a concern for today’s practice, but Quinn said the fields are draining well, they’ll be playing in this weather during the season, and if the weather gets worse, they can pause, or end practice if necessary.

Quinn is looking for speed and communication during today’s 7 on 7’s and team drills against the Jets. HE said that players that will play more during Saturday’s game will get less reps in practice today. Jayden Daniels is slated to start on Saturday, but not expected to play more than a series or two. He will likely see extensive work during today’s practice.
