
Dan Quinn speaks to the media before practice
Dan Quinn was back in front of reporters for the third time in four days. The team has reviewed the tape from their Week 1 blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and have gone through their self-scouting. Quinn said plenty of mistakes were made, and they will get better going into Week 2 and beyond. He talked about accountability and talking with players: .”You don’t have to be a jerk to confront somebody, but you do have to do it.” The team is preparing for their first home game on Sunday, and its a a division game against the New York Giants.
Quinn gave several injury updates. Emmanuel Forbes’ was in the X-tleay room after last week’s game, and he suffered a thumb injury. Quinn said he could play through it and would Forbes would wear a splint. Johnny Newton did conditioning work yesterday, but had a rest day today. Quinn said the rookie DT could make his NFL debut this weekend

Emmanuel Forbes injury:
Dan Quinn said CB Emmanuel Forbes hurt his wrist during the loss in Tampa, which is why he went in for X-Rays post-game. He will wear a split in practice, but the injury is not expected to keep him out. (Forbes did indicate after the game that the injury is not serious.)
