Diana Taurasi is one of the most accomplished basketball players to ever touch the floor.
With three NCAA Tournament titles, three WNBA championships and five Olympic gold medals, there’s no doubting the 10-time All Star’s skill on the court.
But as it turns out, she also possesses a great sense of humor in the broadcast booth.
On Friday night, Taurasi joined her fellow WNBA colleague Sue Bird for a special ESPN Megacast of the women’s NCAA Final Four: The Bird and Taurasi Show.
The first game of the night featured a matchup between the No. 1 Louisville Cardinals vs. the No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks.
After a solid defensive play from the South Carolina defense, Taurasi released this gem of a soundbite:
“The length of the Cocks is long.”
Bird immediately reached for her cup to block her laughter and keep on-screen composure.

“Well Played… Well Played…” one fan wrote.
“Dawg this is too funny. They did good holding it together though,” another added.
“Dude DT is the BEST behind a camera,” another said.

From the looks of this fan reaction, it seems as though the basketball world would love to see more of this Bird-Taurasi combination on TV.
Bird and Taurasi overlapped as superstar players for UConn from 2001-02. They also claimed five Olympic gold medals together with Team USA.
After the Gamecocks 72-59 win over the Cardinals, Bird and Taurasi called No. 2 UConn vs. No. 1 Stanford. Their former Huskies squad moved on to the NCAA National Championship with a 63-58 win.
