Dick Vitale is hearing bad things about the current state of college basketball.

Vitale’s latest admission via Twitter has some hoops fans shook about the sport they love.

The longtime college basketball commentator revealed that one college coach told him “CHEATING is widespread.” It appears the transfer portal is the primary problem.

“I spoke to a coach who told me that CHEATING is widespread in what is going on with the Transfer Portal,” he said. “Promises behind the scenes r going on to PTPERS that if they get their names in portal they will be offered . It’s out of control & not good for the game.”

This might be the least-shocking development in the world of college sports. Of course teams are talking to players before they enter the transfer portal.
