On Friday, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler revealed three teams that are reportedly interested in acquiring All-Pro wide receiver Deebo Samuel in a trade this offseason.
The New York Jets are one of these three prospective teams.
Fowler suggested that the Jets could give up their No. 10 overall pick in exchange for Samuel. The franchise also holds the No. 4 overall pick in this month’s draft.
“If they want to give up that 10th pick for Deebo, that could be enough to get something done,” Fowler said on Get Up.

Samuel officially requested a trade away from the San Francisco 49ers earlier this week, opening the door for interested teams around the league.
The Jets are in dire need of some wide receiver depth following the departure of Jamison Crowder earlier this offseason. With Samuel’s unique skill-set and versatility, he’ll be able to fit into virtually any offensive scheme — and the New York franchise would no doubt love to land elite target like this for second-year QB Zach Wilson.
Even if the Jets don’t trade away their No. 10 pick for Deebo, they’re expected to use it to select one of the many talented options in this year’s stacked wide receiver class.
