The Washington Commanders hold the No. 11 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. Washington could go in a number of directions with its first pick, from wide receiver to linebacker to defensive back. After trading for quarterback Carson Wentz last month, it’s doubtful the Commanders will take a quarterback in the draft.
The 2022 draft is deep on both the offensive and defensive lines, two areas where the Commanders are strong, so Washington could have its pick of a top player at a position of need, such as corner or wideout. While the Commanders could add a guard in the draft, it’s unlikely to occur with the first-round pick.
The No. 11 pick has seen some terrific players drafted over the years. Multiple future Hall of Famers have been selected at the No. 11 position since the year 2000.
We review each of those selections beginning with the 2000 NFL draft.
